If a guy wanted to end his obsession with an ex-flame and forget her, he could do a lot worse than to turn to Kirsten Dunst. That's what Jim Carrey may do in ''Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.'' Makers of the comedy, from the pen of ''Being John Malkovich'' scribe Charlie Kaufman, are in talks with Dunst to join a cast that already includes Kate Winslet as the ex, Variety reports.
Directing the film will be Michel Gondry, who also shot Kaufman's ''Human Nature.'' (Kaufman has yet another brain-bending comedy, ''Adaptation,'' starring Nicolas Cage as a fictionalized Kaufman and directed by ''Malkovich'''s Spike Jonze, coming out in December.) Meanwhile, Carrey is filming the comedy ''Bruce Almighty,'' while Dunst just started work on the college coed drama ''Mona Lisa Smile,'' with Julia Roberts and Julia Stiles, to be followed by her reunion with Tobey Maguire for the ''Spider-Man'' sequel.
