BACKGROUND The thirtysomething Philadelphia native first became interested in set design as a child working alongside her father in a community theater. She went on to study at the Philadelphia College of Textiles.

FUN FACT She dresses to blend in. Keep an eye out for her coordinated outfits: overalls that complement her outdoorsy/floral room, and camouflage that matches her military room.

CLAIM TO FAME Has worked on the props crew for every movie M. Night Shyamalan's ever written, including ''The Sixth Sense'' and ''Signs.''

HER FUTURE She's in talks to work on the J. Lo-Ben Affleck collaboration ''Jersey Girl,'' filming in Philadelphia. When not working on ''TS'' or a movie set, Kia stays busy with her interior construction/design company, K.I.A. Enterprises, Inc.
