On this week's Billboard album chart, Elvis is still the king, though he faced stiff competition from the Rolling Stones. Presley's ''Elvis 30 No. 1 Hits'' held the top spot for the second straight week, selling another 336,660 discs, according to SoundScan, with the Stones close behind at No. 2, selling 309,800 copies of two-disc greatest hits collection ''Forty Licks.'' Oh, some 21st-century acts made the charts, too. Rapper Xzibit debuted at No. 3 with ''Man vs. Machine,'' shifting 157,000 units. Kelly Clarkson and Co. scored a No. 4 debut with ''American Idol Greatest Hits,'' on sales of146,100. Slipping three spots, but selling just 3,000 records less than last week, the Dixie Chicks' ''Home'' was No. 5 and sold 130,400 more copies.

The week's other top 10 debut was the second CD by punk-popsters Good Charlotte, whose ''The Young and the Hopeless'' entered the chart at No. 7. Avril Lavigne's ''Let Go'' and Nelly's ''Nellyville'' dropped three notches apiece, landing at Nos. 6 and 8, respectively. Eminem's ''The Eminem Show'' slid two spots to No. 9, while Disturbed's ''Believe'' fell six places to No. 10.
