And his acting debut in Curtis Hanson's ''Purple Rain''-esque ''8 Mile'' will have critics rhapsodizing about his on-screen charisma. But the movie's sops to the gay community will probably not be enough to defuse homophobic tag -- especially after calling Moby (who, for the record, is straight) a ''little girl'' at recent MTV Video Music Awards.
