Along with a standard round-based single-player mode, the latest installment of this venerable series includes a scrolling adventure mode called Tekken Force, in which you pound groups of enemies until what looks like a Marshmallow Peep pops out of them. (When you grab the treat, an announcer growls, ''Chicken!'' Not exactly Godzilla-size thrills, but you've got to admit it's kind of endearingly nutty.) T4 is a solid effort, with incremental advances in graphics, ring design, and control -- but something's missing: There's no sense of innovation, no jaw-dropping surprise. Heck, we'd even settle for a few more Peeps.
