QUEEN OF THE HILL Faith's good ''Cry'' debuts at No. 1

Faith Hill has little to cry about this week. The country-pop diva's ''Cry,'' her first new studio album in three years, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart, selling 472,486 copies, according to SoundScan. That's nearly twice the first-week sales of her 1999 release ''Breathe, which moved 240,000 copies upon its release. LL Cool J, also absent from the new-release shelf for two years, debuted in second place with ''10,'' on sales of 154,992. Together, the two performers ended the King's three-week chart reign, pushing ''Elvis: 30 No. 1 Hits'' to No. 3, with 143,300 copies sold. Slipping one slot each were the Rolling Stones' ''Forty Licks,'' down to No. 4 and shifting another 119,500 units, and Avril Lavigne's ''Let Go'' (No. 5, 109,300 sold).

Also scoring top 10 debuts were soulmen Gerald Levert and Dave Hollister. Levert's ''G-Spot'' came in at No. 9, and Blackstreet founding member Hollister's ''Things in the Game Done Changed'' debuted at No. 10. Staying in place were the Dixie Chicks' ''Home,'' at No. 6, and Eminem's ''The Eminem Show,'' at No. 7. Sliding three places to No. 8 was Nelly's ''Nellyville.''
