The high stuff's harsh and the brassiness is tarnished, but Minnelli hasn't sounded this good in years. This disc from her June 2002 comeback concerts showcases her smoky belt at its best (''But the World Goes 'Round'' is fierce!), and trademark tunes like ''Cabaret'' -- with its optimistic twist -- still pack a punch. But beware the liner notes: Hubby/producer/Svengali David Gest's sycophancy may induce nausea.
