After being arrested for rape, world heavyweight champion Mike Ty... rather, George ''Iceman'' Chambers (Rhames) is sent to prison, where he agrees -- via rather stunning contortions of probability and plot -- to box a toothpick-pagoda-building ex-contender (Snipes). It sinks even further: Director Walter Hill's (48 HRS.) movie actually does costar Ed Lover, Peter Falk, and Master P -- which not only gave a swift kick to boxing's cooling corpse but sent EW's Probability Meter 2000 into smoking oblivion.
