One could accuse Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones of simply going through the motions in this sci-fi sequel, Men in Black II, but when in doubt, I always prefer to blame the singing pooch. Having a pug croon ''Who Let the Dogs Out'' while letting Michael Jackson cameo as an alien are just two of the cheap gags in Barry Sonnenfeld's stale and predictable follow-up. Sure, the effects are neat to look at, but, man, I hate that damn dog.
