Elvis' daughter has left the building. Nicolas Cage filed for divorce Monday from Lisa Marie Presley, just three months after marrying her, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Cage appeared to confirm the report in a curt statement through his publicist: ''I did not talk about the marriage and I am not going to talk about the divorce.'' He later added: ''But I loved her.'' Presley issued her own statement to CNN through her own mouthpiece: "I'm sad about this, but we shouldn't have been married in the first place.''Cage, who had already had a public split with Presley before getting married this year, cited irreconcilable differences in his filing, ET reported. This was Presley's third marriage, following a union with Danny Keogh and a previous one with some guy named Michael Jackson. Cage had previously been married to Patricia Arquette.
