RUNAWAY GROOM Alas, no Corbett on the ''Big Fat'' sitcom
Nia Vardalos, the breakout star of ''My Big Fat Greek Wedding,'' shot a pilot for a similarly themed sitcom way back in March. Now, in the wake of the film's stunning success, CBS is reworking the pilot, now called ''My Big Fat Greek Life,'' according to the Los Angeles Times. The show will include the full movie cast, minus John Corbett.
The original pilot focused on Vardalos' wedding day, while the new version will begin on the day after the ceremony, according to the Times. ''We'd like to see the journey between honeymoon and six-year-old [daughter],'' Vardalos told the newspaper. The new pilot will be shot next month; no air date has been set.
