Prey's still at no. 1 in fiction; Bush at War's still at No. 1 in nonfiction; and most titles on both lists have held strong over the past couple of weeks too, as holiday shopping finally winds down. This week the only newcomer to crack the elite list is Dean Koontz, whose By the Light of the Moon debuts at No. 5 in fiction. The book follows two protagonists who find themselves injected with a mystery drug, chased by assassins, and subject to ghastly premonitions. Here's hoping Koontz's luck is better than theirs, at least as far as the best-seller chart is concerned.
