The first single from the Daredevil soundtrack betrays ''the man without fear'' (Ben Affleck) by sticking to safe, generic modern-rock cliches. With swelling vocals, requisite macho lyrics, and power chords rendered hollow by a mix emphasizing crunch over craft, it's like Spider-Man's ''Hero'' without the harmony. Or melody.
