First, ''A Beautiful Mind'' landed Jennifer Connelly an Oscar. Now, it's landed her a husband. TV's ''Extra!'' reports that Connelly and costar Paul Bettany quietly married last week. Connelly's publicist confirmed the nuptials, telling People.com, ''She got married to Paul Bettany over the holidays in a small, private ceremony with just family in Scotland.'' It's the first marriage for both Connelly, 32, and Bettany, 31.
While playing Alicia Nash, supportive wife to Russell Crowe's John Forbes Nash, Connelly met British-born Bettany, who played Nash's imaginary Princeton roomie, on the set in 2001. While they became chummy, they didn't start dating until spring 2002, after her breakup with ''SportsNight'''s Josh Charles. Connelly's romantic history also includes an engagement to Billy Campbell (her costar in ''The Rocketeer'') and a relationship with photographer David Dugan that resulted in a son, Kai, 5.
Connelly and Bettany both have movies out in June. She's starring opposite green superhero Eric Bana in ''The Hulk,'' while he's reteaming with Crowe in the adaptation of Patrick O'Brian's maritime adventure ''Master and Commander: The Far End of the World.''
