JORDAN WEARS NO. 1

The book must be big; it's getting pitched on its own TV commercial. Crossroads of Twilight, the 10th book in the Wheel of Time fantasy series, is the kind of book that, if you know about it, you love; its author, Robert Jordan, apparently has 65,000 fansites. If you're not one of the legions, however, it's a headscratcher. From the jacket copy: ''Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn himself, has cleansed the Dark One's taint from the male half of the True Source....'' Hmm, dirty!
