Burning Question

Q In Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, an angry censor gathers the contestants from a test episode of The Dating Game and threatens to eject them mid-taping if they make any more ribald remarks. True?

A Yep. ''When you do spontaneous shows, you can get dirty answers you weren't looking for,'' notes Game producer Chuck Barris, whose 1984 memoir is the basis of the movie. ''The only mistake they made was that he came in and talked to all of them in a line.'' As devotees know, Dating Gamers could never glimpse prospective paramours until after they'd made their choice.
