For anyone disappointed by the undercooked production on the latest Flaming Lips CD (c'mon, you're out there somewhere), pick up the Scottish indie-pop quartet's fourth album. As with the Lips' great ''Soft Bulletin,'' the lovely ''Hate'' bears the wonderful signature symphonic psychedelia of producer Dave Fridmann. Oh, and the songs are pretty nice, too, with co-vocalists Emma Pollock and Alun Woodward crooning catchy tunes about the darkest of emotions.
