C
Although its grade-school admirers may disagree, much of ''Spy Kids''' charm came from spy parents Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino.Unfortunately, ''SK2'' marginalizes their characters in favor of titular prodigies Carmen (Vega) and Juni (Sabara). More damaging is the film's overreliance on scenery-chewing supporting players (Holland Taylor, Ricardo Montalban, Steve Buscemi) and CGI spectacle that does nothing to mask a threadbare Dr. Moreau-esque plot.
