Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson reteam for a sequel to Shanghai Noon so indefatigably preposterous and cheery that the mayhem improves on the original. The duo reunite to track down a murderer in Victorian London, allowing for a lot of silly British-based jokes (teasing Sherlock Holmes and Stonehenge, among other signifiers). Chan also pays homage to the comedy and choreographic influences that have shaped his style, from Keystone Kops and Harold Lloyd to Abbott and Costello and Gene Kelly.
