This weekend's box office was a case of the blind leading the blond. Ben Affleck's sightless superhero in ''Daredevil'' raked in an estimated $43.5 million, taking first place with the second-best February opening ever (after ''Hannibal'''s $58 million two years ago) and the best President's Day weekend opening ever (beating the $20.3 million for last year's ''John Q''). Last week's top movie, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey's romantic comedy ''How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,'' has apparently figured out how to earn $47.7 million in 10 days, finishing a strong second with $19 million, down just 20 percent from its opening last weekend.
''Chicago,'' which expanded to more theaters this weekend following its 13 Oscar nominations announced last Tuesday, held at No. 3, earning $12.6 million. The weekend's other new release, Disney's animated ''Jungle Book 2,'' opened in fourth place with $11.9 million. ''Shanghai Knights'' rounded out the top five, taking in $11.4 million.
