PALIN-DRONES Ministry keep up the rage on their latest

Release Date: Feb 18, 2003; Lead Performance: Ministry

It's been 17 years since Ministry released their first album, but notoriously hard-living frontman Al Jourgensen is as bilious as ever. The band's latest effort, Animositisomina, features wind-tunnel vocals, saw-toothed riffing, and frenetic Pro Tooled beats. Before Nine Inch Nails, before Rob Zombie, Ministry were raging with the machines, and the sustained ferocity on display here is admirable. Not a good sign, though, that the best song is a cover of Magazine's ''The Light Pours Out of Me.''
