ENGAGED Single White Female no more: Bridget Fonda, 39, announced her engagement to composer Danny Elfman (Spider-Man), 49. A rep for the actress, who was injured in a Feb. 27 car crash, says the engagement predates the accident. It will be the first marriage for Fonda, the second for Elfman.

DEALS The show must go on, indeed. On March 11, Broadway musicians ended a four-day strike after negotiating a new contract with producers. Actors and stagehands refused to cross the picket lines, and the resulting work stoppage cost Broadway producers an estimated $5 million in lost revenues.... The Woodman casteth. Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago), 44, and Paul Reiser (Mad About You), 45, have signed on to star in two one-act comedies written by Woody Allen, 67. Writer's Block, which begins previews April 23 Off Broadway at the Atlantic Theater Company, will mark Allen's theatrical directing debut.

COURTS Lord of the Dance star Michael Flatley, 44, was accused of rape by real estate broker Tyna Marie Robertson, 30. In a suit filed in Illinois March 4, Robertson claims the dancer sexually assaulted her in a Las Vegas hotel last October and asks for $35 million. Flatley countersued March 6, accusing Robertson of defamation and extortion, contending she fabricated the story and threatened to publicize the allegations unless he paid an undisclosed sum. Robertson's attorney dismissed the accusations as intimidation.... Sopranos capo James Gandolfini, 41, filed a suit in California on March 6 claiming he should be released from his contract with HBO because the network violated terms of the agreement. On March 11, HBO, which, like EW, is part of AOL Time Warner, filed a $100 million countersuit to force the actor to return to work when the series resumes shooting March 24.... In a March 6 suit, personal trainer Tanya Evans, 30, accused director Antoine Fuqua (Tears of the Sun), 37, and his wife, actress Lela Rochon (Any Given Sunday), 36, of malicious prosecution and infliction of emotional distress. Evans -- who was arrested last May for allegedly stalking the pair, and was later found not guilty of all charges -- claims Fuqua invented the accusations to cover up an affair she says they had. Fuqua's lawyer has said the allegations are false.... On March 7, actor Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan), 41, pleaded not guilty to several misdemeanor charges including domestic violence, after a Dec. 7 incident in which an unidentified woman claims he punched and threatened her. Sizemore's lawyer says the charges are false. The actor is free on $2,500 bail.

DEATHS British pop star Adam Faith, 62, who first hit the charts with 1959's ''What Do You Want,'' of a heart attack, March 8, in Stoke-on-Trent, England.... Comedian George Miller, 61, a regular on David Letterman's Late Night, reportedly after a struggle with leukemia, March 5, in L.A.
