Even in Las Vegas, it's not legal to bet on the Oscars, but odds-makers there have still made their predictions -- and, not surprisingly, ''Chicago'''s their pick. Both Bally's and America's Line have the musical as the favorite to win the top prize, according to the odds-makers' websites. They also both picked Daniel Day-Lewis as most likely to win Best Actor, but disagreed in the Best Actress category. Bally's has Nicole Kidman in front, followed by Diane Lane, while America's Line has picked Renée Zellwegger, followed by Kidman.

According to both sets of odds, Chris Cooper is the frontrunner for Best Supporting Actor, while Catherine Zeta-Jones is the favorite for Best Supporting Actress. And ''Chicago'' helmer Rob Marshall narrowly edges out ''Gangs of New York'''s Martin Scorsese for Best Director. Betting on the Oscars is illegal in Nevada because the awards are based on votes, which means that someone out there could know the results beforehand, according to Racing Forum. Maybe they're afraid of gambling accountants from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
