Even Idols aren't immune to scheduling delays. Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini's ''Grease''-on-the-beach film debut, ''From Justin to Kelly,'' has been bumped to a June 13 release -- from its original date of April 25. The movie, shot in 31 days in January and February, has always been on a rushed schedule; in fact, director Robert Iscove (''She's All That'') said last week that he was still in the process of editing it. But a Twentieth Century Fox spokesperson says the delay is happening for one reason only: ''We want to release it when audiences of all ages are available, and kids are out of school.''

That may be. But by pushing back the movie, Fox diminishes its ability to cross-promote it with ''American Idol,'' which airs its finale on May 21, and with Clarkson's debut album, which is set to hit stores April 15. The flick is a musical -- with a set of Justin and Kelly duets -- but no soundtrack album is yet planned. ''The music really drives the film,'' Clarkson tells EW.com. ''We do a cover of 'That's The Way I Like It' that sounds like Missy Elliott.''

In the $12 million movie, Guarini plays a Philadelphia college student who meets and falls in love with Clarkson, a waitress from Texas, while on spring break. Their relationship plays out through various song-and-dance numbers, including the ballad ''Anytime,'' which Clarkson performed on last week's ''Idol.'' Though the stars' characters share their real-life hometowns, the filmmakers say the movie is strictly fiction. We'll see -- but not until June.
