John C. Reilly has nothing in the works yet, though he has a small part in Jack Nicholson's ''Anger Management.'' On May 9, Ed Harris shows off his snazziest fatigues as Joaquin Phoenix's colonel in the military satire ''Buffalo Soldiers.'' Currently developing a movie with wife Amy Madigan, Harris also mentors Cuba Gooding Jr. in ''Radio'' this fall, and finally shares scenes with his ''Hours'' costar Nicole Kidman in ''The Human Stain,'' playing her ex-husband.... Chris Cooper happily flashes a full set of teeth as Tobey Maguire's horse trainer in ''Seabiscuit'' (July 25).... Paul Newman will be tearing himself away from his beloved auto racing to produce and star in HBO's ''Empire Falls,'' his third collaboration with author Richard Russo (''Nobody's Fool''). On May 24, Showtime will air Newman's Broadway production of ''Our Town''.... And of course, Christopher Walken has a myriad of movies on the front burner. He costars with Ben Stiller and Jack Black in Barry Levinson's screwball comedy ''Envy.'' He then returns to familiar scary-man territory as a cop in this summer's J. Lo?Ben Affleck flick ''Tough Love,'' and as a corrupt CEO out to get Seann William Scott (''Old School'') in Peter Berg's untitled action flick (Sept. 26). Walken also signed on to play Denzel Washington's nemesis in a thriller directed by Tony Scott, ''Man on Fire'' (at press time, there was no production date).
