I'd like to heartily commend EW for doing a feature on Sonic Youth (''The Greats -- Sonic Youth'')! These legends have influenced several generations of underground musicians, myself included, and much of rock music would not be what it is today without them. It makes me glad to see that my favorite band is finally getting some of the recognition they deserve for their groundbreaking ideas. Who cares about awards or platinum sales?
