With guests like Bruce Springsteen, Patty Scialfa, and Uber-bassist Tony Garnier, singer-songwriter-violinist Tyrell could've called her first solo album Soozie Tyrell and Her Heavy Friends. In truth, her songs, which are homespun in a heartland-rock kinda way, have enough heft and resonance to warrant repeat listenings. If there's any justice, Lines should help push this veteran backing musician front and center, where she clearly belongs.
