A standard tug-at-your-heartstrings drama, Evelyn tells the story of Irish looker Desmond Doyle (Brosnan) -- the pint-swilling patriarch of a family on the way to splitsville -- and his struggle to regain custody of his three children. But the real star is Sophie Vavasseur, whose golden performance as Doyle's eldest (the title role) peaks during her courtroom testimony. Although the plot is Lifetime-predictable, keep the Kleenex handy: You'll need 'em.
