You have to hand it to the little nipper. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas' new baby girl has the family knack for publicity. She seemed about ready to come out a month ago at the Academy Awards, when her very pregnant mom won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for ''Chicago.'' But she waited until Easter Sunday to make her debut, just in time to help Daddy publicize his new movie, ''It Runs in the Family,'' which opens Friday and stars three generations of Douglases (Michael, his dad Kirk, and his son Cameron).
The Welsh-born Zeta-Jones named the 6-pound, 12-ounce girl Carys, after the Welsh word for love. She was born at 4:50 a.m. at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J., not far from the couple's Manhattan home, according to a statement by their publicist. It's the second child for Douglas, 58, and Zeta-Jones, 33, who married in 2000 and have a 2 1/2-year old son, Dylan. Cameron, 24, is Douglas' son by his first marriage.
