It'll be dude's night out at the MTV Movie Awards this year. Ending its recent trend of having coed duos host the show, the network has picked Justin Timberlake and Seann William Scott to be the emcees. It's not clear that the ''Justified'' singer can tell jokes, or that the ''Bulletproof Monk'' comic actor can sing, but no doubt each will try during the show's opening number.
''You could not ask for a more dynamic duo than Justin and Seann to help celebrate the year in movies,'' MTV president Van Toffler said in a statement. ''The MTV Movie Awards has always been about the twisted, unexpected moments and this year's show will no doubt provide our audience with a night of celebrity sloppiness and fun.'' M
Timberlake and Scott will be handing out the golden buckets of popcorn on May 31 at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium, with the awards gala airing on June 5. ''Spider-Man'' and ''The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers'' lead the contenders with five nominations apiece. Viewers can help pick the winners by voting at MTV's website.
