Six years after her long-running sitcom ''Roseanne'' went off the air, Roseanne Barr (yes, she's using her last name again) is returning to the ABC family with two new series. Cable's ABC Family will run her new cooking/variety show, ''The Domestic Goddess Hour,'' starting this fall. On broadcast TV, ABC will air a still-untitled reality series this summer about the making of ''Domestic Goddess.'' Got that?
''This deal represents the best type of synergy -- the kind that comes about simply because it makes the most sense for everyone involved,'' ABC Entertainment president Susan Lyne said in a statement.
Both shows have been in the works for some time. ''Domestic Goddess'' will include well-known chefs, other celebrity guests, and live music. The reality show, produced by veteran documentarian R.J. Cutler (''American High'' ''The War Room''), has been shooting the behind-the-scenes development and production of ''Domestic Goddess,'' as well as Barr going about her daily business. In a surreal moment in February, Roseanne, trailed by her reality crew, was shopping in a Beverly Hills department store when they ran into Ozzy Osbourne and his reality crew. ''It was the ultimate reality moment,'' an ABC spokesperson said at the time. ''The only thing that would have made it better is if Anna Nicole Smith had shown up.''
