The four prinicpals on ''Will & Grace'' just got big raises, but did NBC forget to give a similar boost to Shelley Morrison, who plays Karen's sharp-tongued maid, Rosario Salazar? Maybe, since Morrison has been charged with felony grand theft after allegedly being caught shoplifting at a Los Angeles department store on Wednesday. The 66-year-old actress was booked at the Van Nuys jail and released 90 minutes later on $20,000 bail, according to the police report posted at The Smoking Gun.
According to the Los Angeles Times, store security at the Robinsons-May store stopped Morrison and handed her over to police without identifying the merchandise that she allegedly stole, but the felony grand theft charge indicates a value of more than $400. She was booked under the name Rachel Dominguez -- she was born Rachel Mitrani in the Bronx in New York City, and her husband is author Walter Dominguez. (Ironically, he writes inspirational books on how to achieve financial stability.)
NBC has declined to comment on Morrison's arrest. She is due for arraignment on May 14.
