Ron Isley is old enough to be your grandfather, but his taste for fine young things is by no means the pathetic last refuge of a dirty old man. On this latest offering from the bro band that won't die (guitarist Ernie is the other extant Isley), Ron's skills as a master of soul seduction are very much intact. Working with R. Kelly productions that never overheat beyond a slow grind, Ron pours out tender bedroom ballads and morning-after recriminations like Courvoisier: astringent and smooth.
