Nelly may not be wearing his trademark Band-Aid anymore, but now it's his sister who needs medical attention. Cancer patient Jackie Donahue is in need of a bone marrow transplant, Launch.com reports, and her famous brother is leading a drive to recruit donors and increase awareness of the especially pressing need for donors of African-American heritage.
The rapper will launch the campaign, called Jes Us 4 Jackie, on May 14 with a press conference in his hometown of St. Louis. On June 21, Jes Us 4 Jackie will sponsor a nationwide bone marrow drive, seeking donors between ages 18 and 60. Nelly's foundation is also in the process of setting up a website at jesus4jackie.com, and visitors may also learn more at marrow.org.
