THE CHART

'IDOL' WAVE

Nothing shouts ''love song'' quite like ''God Bless the USA.'' So it's no wonder that American Idol Season 2: All-Time Classic American Love Songs, which kicks off with the kids' cover of that Lee Greenwood tune, nearly topped the chart, selling 101,000 copies its first week. Perhaps Madonna should cover Toby Keith next time, seeing how her American Life insurance was no longer at a premium, with a 91,000-copy second week. Kelly Price's Priceless got tagged by 69,000 fans, while Bone Crusher's DVD-augmented AttenCHUN! halted 68,000 buyers, good enough for Nos. 10 and 11, respectively. 50 Cent regained the No. 1 slot with another 128,000 sold.
