On May 9, a Los Angeles judge issued a restraining order against Thomas Jane Weldon, 34, who Sandra Bullock, 38, claims has been stalking her for over a year.... On May 7, Scotland Yard issued a formal warning to Who guitarist Pete Townshend, 58, who was arrested in January for viewing child porn on the Internet. Townshend, who says he visited the sites to research his autobiography, was not charged with a crime, but his name will appear in Britain's sex-offender register for five years.... On May 8, an L.A. judge refused to dismiss Sean Penn's $10 million suit against producer Steve Bing, who allegedly fired Penn because of the actor's antiwar politics, and who is countersuing for $15 million.

WEDDING

Carol Channing, 82, wed junior high school sweetheart Harry Kullijian, 83, on May 10 in Atherton, Calif. After 70 years, Kullijian contacted Channing when he learned she had written about him in her memoir, Just Lucky, I Guess (2002).

DEATHS

Noel Redding, 57, bassist for the Jimi Hendrix Experience from 1966 to 1969, of unknown causes at his home in Ireland, May 11. Redding wrote the Hendrix tunes ''Little Miss Strange'' and ''She's So Fine.''... Poet Ted Joans, 74, presumably of complications from diabetes, on April 25 in his Vancouver home. The Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg contemporary was best known for incorporating black consciousness and jazz into his work.

DIVORCE

After a brief separation, Alias' Jennifer Garner, 31, filed for divorce from Scott Foley, 30, on May 9.

DEPARTURES

After 23 years, the Prince of #%*!ing Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, 54, is leaving Sony Music. Earlier this year, daughter Kelly left Sony label Epic after CEO Tommy Mottola resigned.

AILING

On May 9, former 007 Roger Moore, 75, was released from a Manhattan hospital after being fitted with a pacemaker.... Comedian Rodney Dangerfield, 81, was released from an L.A. hospital on April 21, after undergoing brain surgery on April 8. Doctors have confirmed he is recovering.... Singer-songwriter June Carter Cash, 73, wife of Johnny Cash, 71, remains in critical condition following complications from heart surgery she underwent on May 7 in Nashville.... Former CSI: Miami actress Kim Delaney, 41, entered rehab at Arizona's Sierra Tucson. A rep for the actress says she checked herself into a relapse prevention program ''due to a stressful year.''

ARRESTS

And Voldemort wasn't even behind it. On May 7, British police arrested two people suspected of stealing two copies of J.K. Rowling's forthcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix from a Suffolk, England, printing press, as well as three others suspected of handling stolen property. (The books were found in a field May 6 and were returned to the U.K. publishers.) Four of the five suspects were arraigned May 13. Missy Schwartz

May 9: Tom Sizemore, 41, out on $100,000 bail after allegedly threatening Heidi Fleiss; judge issues restraining order.
