With a come-hither slither and a beer-breath sneer, this Birmingham, Ala., trio makes a baleful racket, grinding out guitar riffs that sound as if they're heading down the expressway to your skull. Vocalist Scott Bondy uses blues cliches like he's just made them up, but there's real sex in his voice, and when he straps himself onto his band's rocky metal breakdowns, it's dangerous in the best way.
