/Intensifieder'' (Touch and Go) Though the first track of this two-song CD single needles ex-New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, the multilayered sound is straight out of the Ed Koch era. The Brooklyn octet (their name is pronounced ''chk chk chk'') wed post-punk guitars to proto-hip-hop beats thumped out by two drummers and a percussionist. It's a funky spin on the dance-punk of late-'70s/early-'80s acts like Gang of Four (with a nod to Laid Back's ''White Horse'').
