In the Pursuit of Leisure (2003)

Details Release Date: Jun 03, 2003; Lead Performance: Sugar Ray

Sugar Ray's typically breezy attitude toward pop suffuses their insouciantly titled fourth album. From the fizzy first single, ''Mr. Bartender'' -- built around a syrupy Sweet sample -- to the wafer-thin cover of Joe Jackson's ''Is She Really Going Out With Him?,'' Leisure plays like the musical equivalent of junk food. Nothing on this album is good for you, but you may find its saccharine charms difficult to resist.
