'Two' Much

Here's what's new in the deluxe ''Two Towers'' DVD. Sean Bean's Boromir returns, Miranda Otto's Eowyn sings, and more

There will be still be just two towers, but you'll see more of just about everything else in November 18's 43-minutes-longer extended DVD edition of ''The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.'' The four-DVD set (which will follow the Aug. 26 DVD release of the original version of the film), will incorporate numerous additional scenes, according to USA Today, which got an early look at the long version. One of the most significant additions, the paper reported, is a meaty flashback sequence incorporating Sean Bean's Boromir, a character who died in the first movie and was absent from the original version of ''Towers.''

Fans of the wise, leaf-covered Treebeard should also be happy -- his meeting with the hobbits is extended. And the romantic tension between Miranda Otto's Eowyn and Viggo Mortensen's Aragorn is heightened in several scenes, including one in which she serves him a bowl of stew, and another in which she reveals her skills as a horse whisperer. Finally, for those who can't wait for that musical version of ''Lord of the Rings,'' Eowyn sings a funeral dirge for her late cousin Theodred (whose corpse is discovered in another restored scene). No word on when the single hits stores.
