It's 2 much to handle: Sequels are dominating the summer-movie slate, already occupying two spots on the list of the top-five-grossing films of the year (that would be ''The Matrix Reloaded'' and ''X2: X-Men United''). But it ain't over 'til it's over, sports fans. More sequels are on the way: ''Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle'' (June 27); and ''Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde'' and ''Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines'' (July 2) have yet to hit theaters, remember. Not to mention a certain green guy named ''The Hulk'' (June 20). See how much they have 2 make 2 beat the current box office champions:

1. THE MATRIX RELOADED
Weeks in release 5
U.S. gross to date $258.2 million
Neo and Company's $91 million opening weekend set a record for R-rated fare. Despite rampant fanboy quibbling with ''Reloaded'''s complicated story, the film has already earned $347 million overseas, making it the 17th-highest-grossing movie of all time worldwide. Whoa indeed.

2. X2: X-MEN UNITED
Weeks in release 7
U.S. gross to date $207.5 million
''X2'''s band of heroic mutants (including Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, and Ian McKellen) sliced their way through the May box office, buoyed by positive reviews that said simply: better than the first one. It's no surprise, then, that both ''X3'' and a Wolverine franchise are rumored to be in the works. Let's hope it's on an up swing.

3. BRUCE ALMIGHTY
Weeks in release 4
U.S. gross to date $195.4 million
G--damn! ''Bruce'' is Jim Carrey's second biggest hit ever (2000's ''How the Grinch Stole Christmas'' earned $260 million). Who's ''Dumberer'' now?

4. FINDING NEMO
Weeks in release 3
U.S. gross to date $195.1 million
Moviegoers have found ''Nemo'' to be that perfect combination: a family-friendly flick that entertains the kiddies but doesn't bore Mom and Dad, thanks to the wry comic timing of voice talents Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks.

5. ANGER MANAGEMENT
Weeks in release 10
U.S. gross to date $133.8 million
Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson's respective demographics went to the same movie for a change, and the result is Nicholson's biggest hit since 1997's ''As Good as It Gets,'' for which he took home the Best Actor Oscar.
