PROBLEM CHILD Osbourne fesses up about his addiction

Fresh from a rehab hospital, Jack Osbourne will discuss his addiction to the painkiller OxyContin in a half-hour MTV special July 8. In the special, Ozzy's son give his first post-hospitalization interview to Gideon Yago, telling him about his decision to enter rehab back in March, and how he ultimately kicked his addiction, according to MTV News Online. ''I want to be in control of my life,'' Osbourne tells Yago.

Osbourne family publicists didn't reveal the nature of Jack's addiction when he entered rehab. OxyContin is an effective painkiller that has also become a highly addictive street drug when sold illegally. In the special, Osbourne says that rehab woke him up to the dangers of addiction. ''I looked around at every single person in the room... A lot of them were near 30, unemployed, living off their parents.... And it was like, 'I don't want to be like that. I don't want my life to be controlled by a drug.'' The special airs at 11 p.m. on July 8.
