Radiohead Hunting

Until I read Rob Brunner's review of Radiohead's new album, Hail to the Thief (Music), I thought I was the only person who felt that Kid A and Amnesiac were a bit over-the-top. Not only did Radiohead get boring, they gave the word a new definition with more moody electronics and slurred vocals than anyone could ask for. Thank you for showing that there are still writers who know real music when they hear it. JOEY SHEARER nerdrocker177@juno.com Medina, Ohio

Novel Approach

As a loyal EW fan, I have learned that your book reviewers are frequently ahead of the curve. Major kudos are due Nicholas Fonseca for discovering my favorite underexposed writer, Tim Sandlin (Books). His novels are brilliant, full of heart, and laugh-out-loud funny. Maybe this is the first step toward the wider audience he deserves. BECKY KRAEGEL beckykr@aol.com Woodstock, Ga.
