''I'm the world's biggest Indiana Jones fan,'' says Frank Darabont, who wrote for ABC's The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (and adapted and directed Stephen King's The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption). ''I'll trip all over myself to work for Steven Spielberg.'' Now he's fallen into his Dream project -- Spielberg, Harrison Ford, and exec producers George Lucas and Frank Marshall are finally making Indiana Jones 4. After more than a decade of talks with writers including M. Night Shyamalan (who wrote an early draft) and Tom Stoppard, they settled on Darabont. ''Frank understands who the characters are,'' says Marshall. Shooting starts in mid-2004 for a 2005 release. Don't assume that Ford, 61, who hasn't cracked a whip since 1989's The Last Crusade, needs to team up with a young buck for his archaeological swashbuckling. ''We're sticking with Indy on his own,'' Marshall says. ''He still gets around pretty good.''
