Is Britney Spears the next Oprah? Add TV producer/talk-show personality to the young renaissance woman's résumé. According to MTV News, Spears' spokesperson says the singer-actress-restaurateur plans to serve as executive producer of a syndicated daily chatfest, with a host yet to be named, and with occasional appearances by Spears. The show would combine news-magazine elements and traditional talk-show segments. (Hmm, sounds like ''American Idol'' emcee Ryan Seacrest's upcoming daytime show.)
Spears will have some TV practice over the next few weeks. She appears as a presenter on the Teen Choice Awards, airing Wednesday on Fox. No doubt she'll show up at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28. And on Sept. 4, she's headlining the NFL season kickoff concert on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. (Also on the bill: Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, and performers to be named later.) Spears' spokesperson told MTV that the concert, which will air on ABC, will include at least two previously unheard songs from her forthcoming album, due later this fall. In case you've forgotten what her day job is.
