STILL THE ONE Twain announces a U.S. tour

Shania Twain's ''Up!'' has sold 4 million copies since it hit stores last November, but the superstar is just now getting around to promoting the album with a tour. The singer will play U.S. and Canadian arenas this fall in her first outing in more than three years. The tour will kick off Sept. 25 in Hamilton, Ontario's Copps Coliseum, and hit the U.S. beginning Sept. 29 in Pittsburgh's Mellon Center. ''I want the show to be a huge party,'' Twain said in a press release announcing the tour. ''The stage will be set up in a way that puts me in the middle of my fans, which is where I want to be.'' In a conveniently timed promotion, NBC will air ''Shania Twain Up! Live in Chicago,'' a show taped at a free park performance last month -- tonight at 8 p.m.
