Even if Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't become governor of California, his high-profile campaigning may at least help focus attention on his newest DVD, ''Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.'' The DVD version of the $147 million-earning sequel hits stores Nov. 11, just over a month after the Oct. 7 recall election that has Ah-nuld on the bah-lot. The Hollywood Reporter quotes industry sources predicting that the publicity surrounding Schwarzenegger's political effort will increase sales of the DVD -- especially if the star manages to win.
The two-disc DVD set will include commentaries by Schwarzenegger and director Jonathan Mostow, as well as costars Nick Stahl, Kristanna Loken and Claire Danes. Of course, bloopers and deleted scenes will also be part of the package. No word on whether one of those scenes will show the Terminator blaming Governor Gray Davis for the movie's apocalyptic future.
