'Eye' Witness

''Queer Eye'' angers cop's bosses. The Port Authority is unhappy that one of their officers let the Fab Five try on his uniform

Officer John Verdi got a new look courtesy of ''Queer Eye for the Straight Guy'' -- but the Fab Five also may have gotten him into trouble at work. His employer, New York and New Jersey's Port Authority, claims that Verdi didn't ask for the required permission to identify himself on-air as a PA cop, according to the New York Daily News. Plus, the PA is upset that Verdi allowed Fab Fivers Carson and Thom to try on the top half of his uniform, the Daily News reported. A PA spokesperson told the newspaper that Verdi's employers are exploring whether the 29-year-old officer deserves punishment (the Daily News was unable to reach Verdi for comment).

Meanwhile, Carson Kressley, the show's love-him-or-hate-him fashionista, has signed a deal with Hollywood agency ICM for representation in ''all areas,'' according to Variety. Kressley may write a book, do commercials, or become a regular contributor to a morning show, the trade paper reported. What, no gubernatorial run?
