George Lopez is about to launch a third career as an awards show host. In addition to performing stand-up comedy and starring in his self-titled sitcom on ABC, Lopez will host the fourth annual Latin Grammys on Sept. 3. (He's also cohosting the Emmys on Sept. 21, though he'll have to share that honor with 10 other emcees.)
Among those set to perform on the show, which will be broadcast live on CBS from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, are Thalia, Ricky Martin, rockers Bacilos, and the not exactly Latina Kelly Clarkson. (The ''American Idol'' winner will perform a duet with Alexandre Pires.) Presenters will include 'N Sync's JC Chasez, Daisy Fuentes, ''CSI: Miami'''s Adam Rodriguez, former ''Dark Angel'' star Jessica Alba, ''Chasing Papi'' costars Sofia Vergara and Roselyn Sanchez, and not exactly Latin singer-actor Tyrese. Well, he did shoot ''2 Fast 2 Furious'' in Miami.
