Watch out, Michael Moore: The unstoppable J.Lo's hot on your heels. Through her production company, Nuyorican Productions, multimedia star Jennifer Lopez will try her hand at producing a documentary, tentatively titled ''Los Quinces,'' for HBO later this year, according to Variety. The film will chronicle one week in the life of a Cuban-American teen and her family in Miami, focusing on their preparations for the lavish debutante ball that, in Cuban tradition, marks a girl's transition to womanhood on her 15th birthday.
''At Nuyorican, we are committed to producing unique and provocative films,'' Lopez told Variety. ''So a documentary on this tradition is a natural fit for us.'' The documentary, to be directed by neophyte Vincent Castellanos, will be released in theaters and then shown on HBO, according to the trade paper. Lopez is also working on the soundtrack to the film, but she'll presumably resist the temptation to pass off ''Jenny From the Block'' as traditional Cuban music.
